last summer i spent four days living in the city surrounded by young artists. I met so many wonderful people my heart ached. one day we were set free upon the city. At times I separated, it was just me and my camera and the people I met along the way. then as we began to head back a friend and I both noticed a man and we stopped to ask if we could take his photograph. “Sure, I don’t seem to have nothing better to do.” sweetly spoken were his words. When i raised my camera, he smiled warmly at us both. This man touched my heart in a way, with his sweet smile and encouraging demeanor. I only spent a few short moments with him but when he thanked us then left, i felt a tinge of sadness. I learned something that day and it’s stuck with me since.

the smallest moment really can change you forever, I hope showing you these pictures will give you the same feeling meeting him did for me.

I’ll cherish these photographs always
